Kristín is an experienced Icelandic tour guide in Paris. Now unexpectedly, she needs to boost her business, so she comes up with the idea of launching new kinds of participatory tours; a mix of guided tours, storytelling, and live performances where guests become part of the story. 

An advert on Icelandic radio allows her to invite a few compatriots to test-drive the tours and asks an old friend at Chanal + to document the process for sales material.

Oddur, the old-fashioned farmer (hiding his artistic side), Halla, the soon-to-be-retired folklorist professor (regretting lost dreams and opportunities), and Sesselja, the young feminist and podcast host (with a row of broken relationships), are all at crossroads in their lives. 

Starting their trip in this new culture and environment leads to constant embarrassing incidents and messes, where Kristín has to make excuses for the flying baquettes, accidental museum alarms, and cobbling café chairs... which she handles with her natural wit and a dash of cultural literacy.

We follow our main characters' journey, sprinkled with a colourful collage of extras, and feel with them how Paris's exotic allure unexpectedly opens closed hearts, softens hard shells, sparks unforgettable romances, giving everyone a second chance.
